For the last three years, the Halsells and the Taylors have driven to Van Alstine to cut down a fresh Christmas tree at Wintergreen Tree Farm. While there we enjoy hot chocolate or hot cider, and a hay ride to the tree field where we get to choose our tree for that year. Pearse wanted to help in cutting down the tree but ended up just sleeping in his sling.
