17 Months...

 

• he is a picky eater but will always eat a quesadilla and can say "quesadilla"
• his favorite drink is vanilla milk
• he is starting to repeat things we say
• he can say Mama but calls Matt "Ba-Ba"
• he laughs so hard at Winston ( we will have to post video soon)
• he will finally stay in the cart at the grocery store and stroller on walks but hates highchairs at restaurants
• he kicked his first nap and now only takes one long nap in the afternoon
• he likes to walk really fast and can walk on his toes too
• he would rather be outside than any other place
• he got his top canine teeth and is currently working on the bottom canines
• he likes to fix things throughout the house...when he sees a screw he runs and gets his drill
• he is learning more sign language and currently can do; thank you, please, more, bite, finished
• he is obsessed with the lotion bottle and wants a small amount on his hand...he likes to rub it on anyone around and tries to put it in his hair at times

Pearse and his dada were having so much fun with the magnets on the fridge...

16 Months

• he has been sick on and off the past 3 weeks, currently with a double ear infection but starting to feel better
• he loves playing with play-dough
• he likes to color
• he likes to be Mr. Independent....doesn't want to ride in the cart at the grocery/stores..just wants to walk around and get into everything
• he started saying "thank you" and enjoys talking in his own language
• he loves to have a key and try to open all the doors
• he enjoys laying on top of Winston and going to Winston's toy box and handing him all his toys
• he has learned to hit then gives you a kiss
• he loves to be chased around the house and think it is fun to run from bath time or bed time
• he is still wearing 12 month shirts and 9 month pants...still very tall and skinny
• he puts his arms behind his back after accomplishing something...its really cute

Sick Boy

Poor guy has been running a fever the past 5 days!! We took him to the doctor and he has a virus and an ear infection :(

Austin Trip



This past weekend we traveled to Austin to help out some friends with their house. We also stayed in a nice hotel room with this huge balcony overlooking the State Capital Building.



Snow

 We are getting tired of the cold but have enjoyed Matt being off from work. He was able to stay home to enjoy it!! Pearse liked being outside but was a little dramatic when we put him in the snow!!

Last week

Pearse had a great week...enjoyed hanging out at the park with one of his girlfriends and got a visit from his Meemaw!!

15 Months

• he loves to walk and no longer likes his stroller
• he is getting his molars in and not eating well :(
• he still likes his two naps...and we like it too!
• his favorite place to be is outside and cries when it is time to go in
• he watched Matt with his drill and then got a play one of his own and carries it everywhere and tries to put it in all the holes
• he loves books
• will say new words and then never repeats them
• his hair is getting long...almost a mullet. It's getting pretty partyish in the back.
• the only way to do the dishes is if he is in the dishwasher playing with them
• he can climb on anything and everything
• he can do some tricks with his tongue
• he loves to play in his crib after he wakes up and throws his blanket and stuffed puppy out over and over
• he likes to poke at our eyes or nose when we say the words
• he thinks its fun to flush the toilet
• he likes to play at the park

Layed Back

Matt sent this to me when I was working Sunday...he has been laying down and putting his hands behind his head..cute!

13 & 14 Months

• he can eat with a fork
• he loves opening and closing doors
• he is finally walking...well more waddling
• he knows a lot of parts of his body..the cutest is his elbow
• he smells his feet and makes a stinky face
• he said "dada"...Matt is in heaven
• he likes to flirt
• he really enjoys sleeping with his puppy
• he likes to give Winston a "head bump" and even tried it out on the cat
• he loves being outside and would stay out there all day if we would let him
• he climbs on everything
• he loves his cousin Liam and thinks Garrett is hilarious
• he refuses to wear a hat
• he likes to look at himself in the mirror..especially in the car
• he is finally dancing and it is really cute
• he knows his animals..we can put different ones on his floor and he will grab the ones we name
• he got a new tooth over the Christmas break...he now has three on bottom and four on top
• he likes to pull his drawer out under his crib and crawl in it
• he loves putting toys in cabinets or drawers
• he is still into EVERYTHING and loves to make a mess
• he loves to be read to

Merry Christmas

Santa

Pearse and I ran to Cedar Hill to go see Santa...he didn't like him very much....I couldn't help but laugh!

We are shoppinig for a new couch!!

Our current couch is the first big purchase I made out of college and now the leather is cracking and the stuffing is coming out!  These above are from Crate and Barrel and Room and Board. 

Decisions Decisions...oh and we got to pick a color Mr. P wont get dirty :)

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving

Sorry for the no post lately our computer is waiting on a part and we are without pictures to post ;)  This picture from my phone is of Pearse on our new deck..it is done and now we are on the hunt for some furniture for the patio.  Pearse loves the new deck and enjoys venturing out into the yard (making him very dirty).  Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving we are headed to the big town of Abilene to eat some yummy turkey!!

5yrs

We have been married 5 yrs!!  Crazy!! Time has gone by so fast.  We enjoyed a nice dinner at Hattie's by our house while my sister and her boys came to babysit the little man.

Love you Matty...can't wait to spend many more years to come! You are a great husband and father!! I love you!!

Walkway

Can you believe he is ONE today?

• He is finally crawling on all fours..but still thinks its faster to army crawl
• He can take the safety plugs out of the walls...who invented these things?
• He will only walk around the house if he is holding on to something...he is too big of a chicken to let go!
• His favorite food is watermelon...and his milk to drink
• He still doesn't like to change his diaper...but enjoys putting the used ones in the diaper genie
• He likes to be outside and wants on the ground to crawl around...getting very dirty!!
• He likes to climb on everything!
• His favorite toy is my hairbrush..kind of weird ;)
• He enjoys taking a bath..swims on his stomach and flips around
• He likes to put food on his cup during feeding times and thinks it is hilarious
• He tries to feed Winston his toys
• He likes to get in the bathroom and unroll the toilet paper and open the toilet seat (we need to buy those safety things for the toilet..hopefully he won't figure that one out)
• When he knows he is not supposed to do something he shakes his head side to side then looks back then proceeds to do it...ornery!!
