Man Weekend

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Matt is headed out to the country for a little dove hunting, sports watching, cooking, relaxing, and will be wearing Winston out!! All the while my mom and grandma are coming in town to watch Pearse!!

Eating is Fun!!

And exhausting at the same time!

10 Months

• he is starting to pull up on things and stand on his own


• he is understanding things we are saying--looks at the light when we say light, looks outside, etc.


• he loves looking at books and says "boo boo"


• taking longer naps and sleeping more through the night!


• Has four teeth total but getting two more on top


• he found his scream inside of him and likes to let it out, especially when other kids are around


• he will tap his head when you ask him "where's your head"


• his hair is getting longer but still has the bald spot in the back


• he is getting into everything..will have to post more pics soon of the messes he likes to make


• he loves his daddy, but his momma is his favorite.

After the baby shower my sister and her family came over for a little dinner. It was time for Pearse to take a bath and Liam wanted in also (who doesn't have bath pictures with a cousin)!!!

Baby Shower

We had the oportunity to host a baby shower at our house for our good friend and neighbor!

I made the scalloped garland for the fireplace, special thanks to the tutorial here

Also made a photo tree with baby pictures of the Mommy and Daddy-to-be.

Those are tissue paper pom poms hanging over the table, special thanks for the help here

9 months

• His first word was Ball..but now he can say Mama (I like it!)
• He is pulling himself all over the house like spider man
• He rolls on to his tummy when his diaper is being changed
• He is getting his two top teeth...and we are ready for them to come!!
• He wishes he could walk without his walker. (probably closer to run)
• He is starting to laugh at himself
• He likes to pester Winston by grabbing his feet, and Winston doesn't like it.
• He will let everyone hold him...unless he is tired.
• He snorts when he laughs hard, just like his aunty Kat

My Daddy's Hat

8 Months

• he is army crawling but prefers his walker..and Winston has been replaced by his new walker
• he enjoys the walker in the kitchen so he can open all the cabinets to see what is inside
• he likes to throw balls
• he like to give hi-fives and wave bye-bye
• he likes to smack is lips like a fish
• he shakes his head back and forth and wants you to do it back to him for attention
• he says bababababa...especially when he sees a ball
• he is attached to his mama
• he is waking more in the night....and very hungry...and we are very tired :)
• he likes to snuggle and swing in his chair in his room at night
• he makes this moaning noise when falling asleep

Summer Fun

Help he is Teething!!

Come on teeth....he is having a rough time!!!
(one good side effect is he is really snuggly)

UPDATE: He now has two little teeth on bottom that have made it through the gums. He still is very uncomfortable, but it is getting a little better for him...

7 Months

• he is getting taller and skinnier
• he got a new walker and loves it...tries to get into the cabinets and pulls the trash can over
• he is sitting up on his own
• he is trying to give hi-fives, and likes drumming on things
• he likes to flirt with people by smiling real big when we are out and about
• he likes to turn over when trying to change his diaper
• he loves to walk around while Momma or Dada hold his arms
• his favorite toy is still Winston

Food for Pearse

We have been making all of Pearse's baby food. It is so easy..we just go to Whole Foods about once a month.
Cook or steam the food then put it in the food processor.

Feed Pearse some of it...or put it all over his bib!

And have extra for the rest of the month!!

Deck

Inspiration for our back deck...this week, the air conditioning compressor is being moved so we can get started building our back deck!!

Little Bean Shop

Recently I picked up one of these rattles for Pearse when I visited this shop in Dallas. The online shop doesn't do the actual store any justice...the shop is so cute! If you're ever in the area you should definitely stop by and check it out. and don't forget to browse the little girls dresses, the owner has so many cute designs for baby girls.
